A tree blew down in my backyard so I built a bivvy around it. It's waterproof and sheltered from the wind and cold, and it's very strong.

I boiled the billy and put a few leaves of kawakawa and manuka leaves in for each person, and let it brew. My brother, mum, dad and nan and grandpa joined me for a tea party.

First i dug 2 holes both 40cm deep and 35cm square, 25cm apart. Linked with an air tunnel. Built the fire in one side and lit it up. It went great, we boiled a pot of water on it.

We were making a bivvy in our back garden. We used a hose to test if it worked. If the water didn't go through, we kept it! If it did, we started again.
